Last night in Sydney, the Ferrari F8 Tributo made its impressive Australian debut at the White Bay Cruise Terminal in Rozelle. Beyond special, the F8 Tributo truly encapsulates the excellence Ferrari is synonymous for.
At hand is a new mid-rear-engined sports car of the Prancing Horse’s classic two-seater Berlinetta range, which is a welcomed update to a long and noble bloodline of V8 Berlinetta’s.
It also happens to the most powerful V8 in Ferrari history! It is a car with unique characteristics that is beautiful from the inside out – a true testament to the elegant style of the Ferrari brand.
The F8 Tributo sets the market benchmark for performance, driving pleasure and ease of handling, making for an exhilarating performance of the best 8-cylinder in the world. But it’s also a Ferrari vehicle that is accessible to all drivers of all capabilities, thanks to its unprecedented handling and superior ride comfort; it brings out the best in Ferrari drivers.
Above all, the new Ferrari F8 Tributo is even faster, more powerful and more exciting to drive than ever, travelling from 0-100km/h in just 2.9 seconds, 0-200km/h in 7.8 seconds, with a top speed of 340km/h.
Being the most powerful V8 ever to be mounted in a non-special series Ferrari, the F8 Tributo achieves new heights not just for turbos, but for engines across the board.
This widely-acclaimed, turbo-charged V8 has been used in other models in the Berlinetta range, winning “Best Engine” in the International Engine of the Year awards three years running in 2016, 2017 and 2018. In 2018, it was also awarded the title of the best engine of the last two decades.
What results is an engine without turbo lag and an overall smooth – yet powerful – experience that only Ferrari is known for.
The F8 Tributo’s lightness also delivers extra agility and responsiveness. Aerodynamics are improved, keeping the new Ferrari F8 Tributo glued to the road for a greater driving experience. This is especially noticeable at higher speeds, including out on the track (we’re looking at you, rev heads!).
