After a short and easy journey to Merricks North, you will reach Jackalope Hotel. You’ll be greeted by neatly kept vines along a long driveway that leads to the centre piece of your welcome: a seven metre Jackalope sculpture by artist Emily Floyd.

You’ll notice immediately that Art plays a pivotal role in the hotel’s charm and mystique.

As you make your way to your room, enjoy one of few boutique-driven rooms that boast beautiful vineyard or courtyard views. Each room is fitted out with amenities from Hunter Lab, and include everything you need for a relaxing getaway; free movies, free mini bar, as well as free popcorn and choc tops to enjoy with your movies.

Naturally, a good spa treatment is a must-do when looking to recalibrate and unwind completely. Thankfully, Jackalope’s award-winning Spa Treatments are available to be booked during your stay.

Dining options at Jackalope are not scarce. Nor are they overrated. In fact, Jackalope’s fine-dining destination, Doot Doot Doot, is so highly regarded that it is the winner of two chef’s hats. For a more relaxed – but equally delicious – setting, Rare Hare is the place to be. A great lunch spot, graze over local charcuterie and cheese platters as you sip on Jackalope’s own wine varietals.

Immerse yourself in the Willow Creek Vineyard where you can walk among the vines and wander the winery, learning about the details of past vintages from a dedicated winemaker. Discover the growing and winemaking philosophy, with an opportunity to taste and blend work-in-progress components of Willow Creek Vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
