There was a very special sporting event that occurred in Melbourne this week. In anticipation of the impending English Premier League 22/23 season, Manchester United embarked on a pre-season #SummerTour around the world, offering diehard Devils fans and sporting fanatics alike the chance to witness the team in action.
Melbourne was one of the lucky cities to receive the nod to host an official English Premier League pre-season game, and thanks to Marriot Bonvoy, some were able to witness the epic duel between Manchester United and Crystal Palace in absolute style.
If you’re a Marriott Bonvoy Member, you might know that there are some serious perks that come with a membership thanks to Marriott Bonyoy Moments. For example, in the month of July, members had a chance to get close to the action at Melbourne Cricket Ground where Manchester United took on Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace, all the while enjoying Marriott’s signature hospitality. Members can get in on the action in Perth, where they can watch Manchester United train followed by an intimate experience watching them play Aston Villa this July 23 at Optus Stadium,
The once-in-a-lifetime experience afforded to Marriott Bonvoy Members granted them VIP access to the highly-coveted matches, and the opportunity to create memories to last a lifetime, whether you’re a diehard football fan or simply a lover of sports.
Fortunately, the team at Man of Style were lucky to experience what a Marriott Bonvoy Moment looks like first-hand, and let’s just say it’s well worth the hype.
The thrilling sporting experience looked a little like this. As you arrived at one of the greatest sporting stadiums in the world, the MCG, you’ll find yourself making your way to the famed ‘Olympic Room’ hospitality suite, where a Marriott Bonvoy representative was on-hand to greet you, provide you with Manchester United memorabilia, and show you your tickets for the game.
The hospitality suite is a great place to mingle and network with like-minded individuals (and even celebrities) before the game’s proceedings. A hot roast buffet was served for guests, along with an open bar and roaming canapes. No lining up for food here, folks.
Guests were then treated to an intimate Q&A experience with the Chairman of Crystal Palace, Steve Parish, who discussed his team’s preparation ahead of the EPL 22/23 season.
Before the commencement of the game between Manchester United and Crystal Palace, guests were shown to their seats that afforded the luxury of premium viewing access. The pre-entertainment was enthralling, especially for an experience that seldom is held in Australia. Fireworks were plentiful, the energy of the 80,000-plus crowd attendance was at an all-time high, and the players were genuinely prepared to put their bodies on the line for a pre-season win.
The Manchester United v Crystal Palace spectacle did not disappoint. Fans were treated to three goals by Manchester United (Anthony Martial in the 17″, Marcus Rashford in 48″, and Jadon Sancho in the 59″) and one goal from Crystal Palace (Joel Ward 74″). There was even a sending-off, with Man U centre-back Will Fish receiving a red card in the 84″.
All in all, this was one footballing spectacle that offered Australian spectators a glimpse of the English Premier League first-hand. But for Marriott Bonvoy members, it was made even more special.
You too can have your own intimate sporting experience thanks to Marriott Bonvoy. For similar offerings, be sure to check out Marriott Bonvoy Moments today.
