Many of us men out there are aware of the benefits of mindfulness practices. Although we may not have our own practice per se, we are acutely aware of its existence and the positive ramifications that it may have on reducing one’s stress and anxiety levels, through many varying methodologies.

The most notable of which is through an awareness of breath. Not all meditation modalities focus on the aforementioned, though. Metta meditation, for example, is a 2,500-year old practice aimed at cultivating love and kindness; empowering one to more deeply connect with the heart and experience a feeling of respect not only for ourselves, but the greater world around us, too.

Manoj Good Vibes Metta Meditation Man of Style Mindfulness

This Saturday the 6th of April, our good friend Manoj Dias, an internationally acclaimed meditation teacher and co-founder of A–SPACE (Australia’s first multi-disciplinary drop-in meditation studio), will be hosting a Metta Meditation workshop at Good Vibes Yoga in Collingwood.

Born and raised in the Theravada Buddhist Tradition, Manoj lives and breathes mindfulness and meditation. Through his practice, Manoj has helped thousands of people from around the world delve into the depths of stillness in their mind. He has also brought the power of awareness, compassion and wisdom to organisations such as Netflix, Google, Slack and Aesop to name a few.

Should anyone feel so inclined to attend this workshop to learn more about Metta meditation, or to further your existing practice, tickets can be purchased here.

Oh and also, for 2019, the team at Man of Style has decided to branch out and into health and wellness, in addition to the foundational pillars of our brand–fashion, travel and lifestyle.

We wholeheartedly believe that to be a ‘Man of Style’, one must also be a Man of Substance. This article marks our first little foray into the health and wellness space, and we couldn’t be more excited!

As this is relatively new territory for us, we would appreciate feedback from you, our readers, on what you would like to see more of from us.
